So, i finally got to see the official video for pyro in HD and suddenly it made sense, why not share my thoughts with u guys.. caleb said in an interview that the song was about a man who knew how life was supposed to be lived but in the end it didnt even work for him, that person i imagine being the main character.. he's in this town pretty lost, and while entering the bar he saw an old man suffering, whom he helped, walkin into the bar he saw a fight between a man and a woman, and so he wanted to end it cause that's what you're supposed to do he thought, but when he gets too close to the man he gets hit, brutally so... fortunately he started "flying" early enough not to die, now the story behind that is probably that the man who knew how life was supposed to be, he has only practiced that way of living in a small part of the world, probably in his home town, and he knows nothing about the world outside.. but when he gets out there he tries to continue his lifestyle, which is proven by the video that it don't work that way, and as a punish he gets the worst treatment ever. it's like a man from denmark (used to the legacy around weed) went to sweden and rolled a joint in public, he would'a get hit by the system for life, he'd have to pay money to the state for a couple of years, probably go to jail (atleast serve some time), no job opportunities in sweden e.t.c. that's just a practical example of how bad he's being punished for just trying to live the way he was taught... and the reason why he's flying is because it's gotten to the point where he can't be punished anymore, the system realized that they were wrong, so he gets free - but he has nothing left to live for

I don't get this one. I know thinking up creative video concepts is hard, but why go for a subtle meaning that ends up looking baffling (and dare I say, sappy) when expressed? Maybe when the guys explain this one, I'll probably gain an appreciation.

i think they're trying to show their softer side, like in radioactive and the whole album really. they never cease to amaze me!
